About Me

Hi, I’m Carle. With 20+ years of experience in nonprofit leadership, policy advocacy, and community-driven projects, I specialize in helping organizations secure funding, design impactful programs, and implement strategic initiatives. I’ve raised over $57 million in funding and led efforts to unite diverse partners for lasting change in food and farming systems that result in social impact and economic well-being. I communicate conversationally in Spanish and am actively studying (including time in Oaxaca, Mexico) to expand what I can offer Spanish-speaking clients and the communities they serve.

Outside of consulting, I enjoy spending time in nature, dancing, and enjoying meals with friends and family.

Core Values

Equity & Justice*

I prioritize equitable solutions and processes that uplift underserved communities and ensure all voices are heard and valued in the decision-making process.

Collaboration

True progress comes from working together. I believe in fostering strong partnerships that leverage diverse perspectives and collective wisdom.

Integrity & Transparency

Honesty, clear communication, and accountability are at the foundation of my approach, ensuring trust-building and shared success.

Sustainability

I believe that lasting success is rooted in approaches that reflect the resilience and adaptability found in nature. By taking inspiration from ecological systems—where balance, diversity, and interconnectedness are key—I help clients develop strategies that are adaptable, resource-conscious, and built for long-term impact.

How I Work

  • I am dedicated to supporting nonprofits, government agencies, and small businesses (including farmers), in achieving their mission through tailored strategies and efficient systems. My work is grounded in principles of equity, collaboration, and long-term sustainability.
  • I focus on building lasting partnerships through transparent communication and inclusive decision-making. My approach is deeply relational and emphasizes collaboration across diverse perspectives to create long-term solutions.
  • I recognize that meaningful solutions often require a diversity of skills and perspectives. When appropriate, I collaborate with other experts in the field to ensure the best possible outcomes for each project and client.

*My Equity-Driven Access to Services

Systems related to fundraising and public policy have played a central role in perpetuating institutionalized racism and other forms of oppression. As a white-identified social justice professional with expertise in fundraising and policy, I am committed to offering my services—on a limited pro bono or reduced-rate basis—to clients who have been historically underserved due to discrimination, systemic racism, ableism, and other forms of oppression, and who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access them. If you represent a BIPOC**-led small business or nonprofit, or believe you would be a good fit for this opportunity, please reach out for more information.

**BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other People Of Color) -led means organizations that are primarily led or owned by individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. These leaders and their communities are at the forefront of decision-making, guiding initiatives and projects that reflect their unique perspectives, needs, and values.
